Cecil Leads Level 3 Team to New High
Feb. 8 — The Level 3 team competed at FLOM in Greenwood, IN where they posted a new team high of 112.90. Emerson Cecil was the team’s top performer in the all-around scoring a 37.650 while contributing to all four events in the team total.
The team’s best showing came on the bars with Reagan Harkness leading the team with a 9.60. Cecil was just behind her with a 9.50 while Emma Millay (9.475) rounded out the team total. Six other athletes achieved scores in the nines including: Chloe Terry-Mosier (9.450), Jemima Dominguez and Amelia Hillman (9.250), Arienette Berryman (9.050), Makayla Kent (9.225), and Annabelle Kratzwald (9.0). The team totaled a season-best 28.575 on the event.
Cecil had the top score on the beam posting a 9.375. The team tallied a 27.9 on the event—just shy of tying the season-best score of a 28.0. Lily Barr stepped in to help the team on the event scoring a 9.275 while Abigale Streble posted a solid mark (9.250) to contribute to the event total.
Harkness, Dominguez, and Cecil were the team’s top performers on the floor. Harkness’ score of 9.50 being a season-best. On the vault, Berryman contributed once more with a season-high 9.375 while Cecil (9.325) and Hillman (9.30) contributed on the event. Cecil’s mark represented a new season-best.
Harkness also posted a mark above a 37.0 in the all-around setting a new season-high with a 37.450. Her score on the bars and beam also represented season-best. Cecil’s contributions on each event but floor represented season-best for her as well.
Next up, the team will compete at the Level 3 IN South State Championships where they will look to take home the State title.
