Nine Gymnasts Earn Podium Finishes for Level 2
Feb. 8 — Nine Level 2 gymnasts earned at least one podium finish at FLOM in mid-February. Two gymnasts set season-highs on all four events and the all-around in Lillian Koeppel and Kennedy Terry-Mosier, while Terry-Mosier posted the highest event score of the entire team.
Terry-Mosier’s score on the floor was the highest event score earned by a SIGS Level 2 gymnast at FLOM. Posting a 9.20, she earned a bronze medal in the event. Also earning a third-place finish on floor was Elsa Harrel (8.950) and Koeppel (8.850). Elsie Allen earned the silver with a 9.050 while Ainsley Sons brought home the gold medal on floor in her division with a 9.125.
Three more champions were crowned, two on vault and one on the beam. Addison Miller and Avery Wilkinson each posted a 9.0 to share the event title while Avery Nail earned her gold medal on the beam with a 9.10. Sons also found the podium for beam, placing second.
In addition to Terry-Mosier, Wilkinson matched the top event score for the Level 2 team on bars. The team will conclude their season at the Level 2 IN South State Championships this weekend.
