The Level 2 team competed at the Flip-4-A-Cause competition in Indianapolis, IN as their first travel meet of the season. Ainsley Sons was the team’s top performer on multiple events.

The team’s best showing came on the floor with Sons’s 9.350 earning first. Lilyan Downs was just behind her with a 9.30 taking third while Elsa Harrell (9.20) rounded out the team total. A triad of athletes in Myla Durham, Elsie Allen and Kennedy Terry-Mosier tallied a mark of 9.10 all earning a second-place medal on the event.

Sons led the team with a victory on the beam scoring a 9.10. The team reached a 27.0 on the event with Lucy Schneider (9.0), Allen (8.9) and Morgan Rice (8.9) contributing to the team score. Schneider and Allen’s scores were good enough for third in their age divisions.

The team also tallied an even 27.0 on the vault, led by Rice’s score of 9.150. Rice took home a bronze medal for her showing while Sons found herself atop the podium once more with a second-place finish in her division (8.950). Avery Nail rounded out the event with an 8.90.

Taking to the bars, the team came in just shine of a 27.0 event score. A pair of athletes in Izadora Huber and Avery Wilkinson earned scores above a 9.0 on the event. Huber’s score of 9.050 placed third in her division.

Rice was the team’s top scored in the all-around tallying an 35.850 but taking sixth in her division. Sons mark of 35.70 placed third. The team tallied a 108.80 taking seventh overall.
