2023-24 SIGS TEAM TRYOUTS

Placement into our Women's Team Program is highly competitive.
For the 2023-24 season, SIGS has 35 spots on the team, with more than 80 athletes enrolled in GymStar classes.

WOMEN'S COMPETITIVE TEAM TRYOUTS:
GYMSTAR 1 AND GYMSTAR 2 STUDENTS AGES 5-12 ARE INVITED.
Advanced Preschool/Individual Lesson Students 4.5-12 Years of age *by personal invitation only*
There are no open tryouts for women's competitive teams for the 2023-2024 season.

SIGS' Team Tryouts for the 2023-24 season are May 21 this year, with evaluations for our women's and co-ed trampoline teams. Tryouts are $40/athlete to participate and must be registered by May 19.

Tryouts will be run like a class, and athletes will rotate with groups of similar skills and ages. They will already know some skills and be asked to do new ones.

WOMEN'S COMPETITIVE TEAM TRYOUTS

For our Women's Competitive Teams, our teams include developmental and two competitive tracks with annual commitments.

  • Teams have annual commitments with gymnastics meets (at home and regionally, depending on level).

    • ​All GymStars class program athletes, ages 5-12, are invited to tryouts for the competitive team.

    • ​Select Advanced Preschool Gymnasts ages 4.5 and older who received invitations.

    • There are no OPEN TRYOUTS for women's competitive teams for the 2023-24 season. Athletes must be enrolled in GymStars or have received a personal invitation and meet minimum age restrictions.

    • SIGS has 30 spots on women's competitive teams for the '23-24 season.

WOMEN'S RECREATIONAL TEAM TRYOUTS

  • This program should be pursued by athletes who do not want a competitive experience but desire a fun team atmosphere.

  • This is NOT a path to SIGS Competitive Teams. Students who wish to pursue a competitive team at SIGS should stay in the current class program and pursue a GymStars class spot to develop for a competitive team in the future.

  • There are two 6-month sessions with a skills showcase near the conclusion of each session for ages 9+.

TRAMPOLINE TEAM TRYOUTS

Our Trampoline and Tumbling Team is a member of the United States Trampoline and Tumbling Association and competes as a member of the Indiana Chapter of the USTA. 

​

We have four co-ed Trampoline and Tumbling Teams levels from Novice to Advanced. Trampoline and Tumbling athletes perform skills on specialized equipment, including a rod floor and specialized trampolines.
